I'm wondering what impact this major rain event will have on Brood IX?  When I left the house this morning there were a number of nymphs hanging out in the undergrowth and crawling around on my sidewalk.  I would think all this rain would make it difficult to emerge successfully as an adult.

Some random jobsite about 15 miles away from Kerr Scott.  Saw some north of Mt. Airy a few days back.  This morning's noise was the real deal.

I heard a couple Brood XIX calling today in Chapel Hill. It's crazy the amount of Brood XIX I've seen. 4 years early.

I am at my cabin behind the Bassett High School. Saw this on the post holding up front porch. Only one I have seen so far. Don't hear any but they have to be real loud for me to hear them
