Not sure if I'm taking the bote out on the lake again. We'll see.
Fishbug and his little Gheenoe saved my bacon. We fished some water that has been over pressured and managed a couple of carp on Saturday. Marina was a total shit show.
We moved up on Sunday and explored quite a bit further. About 3 miles up a lake arm he tells me he hopes he has enough gas to get back.  :o
We heard a lot of bugs. Saw less than the day before and basically sought out cruisers as we worked our way up. The sweet spot was just around the bend? We never found the sweet spot. I got some refusals, John got the only carp of the day. We powered up for the ride back and after a half mile the 8hp quit. I wrestled the 5 gal tank out of the forward hold and held the tank at an angle to get the cup or two of gas over the pick up. Primed the engine, fired it back up and continued on with crossed fingers. We made it back on a little more than fumes. Home by 1pm. I'm checking the petrol level next time.

I was going to post this.

I was going to take Doug out in my boat this weekend but now I'm nervous about his boat juju.

Not many albies have been landed with dougfish in my boat. Not to mention exploding bearings.
