Grassies? Ain't nobudday got time fo dat.

That be watermeal.  In about a month the pond will be covered in it.   Fish don't care, just is a pain.

Tom, Geezer's been back and forth to Florida so I don't think he's had much time to spend at the pond this year.
Yup, going fishing

It just looked like that dock needed some repairs....maybe you could fix it for him some evening then share some rum y;

I have to work tomorrow (Saturday) so the best I can do is get out today even though it's raining. I've got this 80-acre reservoir in my back yard. Literally, I can see it from my living room.

Pretty nice to be able to put on waders in the house...

..strap the 'yak to this useless cart and walk to the put-in by the dam.

Didn't anticipate doing too well, since it's raining and 50 degrees, but I did complete the centrarchidae slam:

Water was really, stained, but I did have a shot at some carps. As so often is the case, I got left in the dust...

I had some lucky eats the first few carp I caught. The last year has been tough on me. Hard enough to catch 'em being poled around, and damned difficult paddling yourself in a kayak.
Side note: I hate fishing in a kayak. Hate it. Beats the bank though.

Then I enjoyed some left over Chinese and a macro-brew.

Mahalo.

Nice having some warm water out your backdoor.  Thanks for the TR.

I didn't think I would be able to get out to fish this weekend due to my boy Pablo and friends putting a new roof on my house. But with 7 of them they were pulling out of the driveway and 3:30 on Sunday. Well my truck was already backed up to the trailer, so.. off to find whitey.

Got to the ramp and even at 4:30pm there was still 20 cars at the ramp.

Fished for about 2 hours. Caught about a dozen of these guys and a fat female that was camera shy.

And to end a long weekend

Got an invite to go musky fishing this past weekend. Had an extra seat so FlyNLow made the drive up from L'Burg. Two days on the water for one magic hour. Three eats and 2 fish in the net.

Probably last trip for a while, big girls will be spawning soon.
