It's in my yard. I grow it for it's great bark. It is awesome.
And yes, it has some fireblight going on. Chainsaw bait one day.

Where's the TR?

Shane

Yeah, we moved a few fish. Rolled a couple.

TC, when are you going to invite me over for some of this mysterious PawPaws I've never tried?

I'll have to give those Paw paws a try the next time I'm up that way...

Took the god our for a half day of fishing and running in the field. She's getting older now and didn't express too much interesting in chasing after stuff. She mostly stayed with me on the river settling on a mid-stream rock. No memory card in the camera so I was limited in picture taking. Tons of bugs popping off the water, micro bwos, a few sulfurs, an occasional yellow drake and midges, tons and tons of 'em. I passed an angler who was coming off the river as I was heading in, "They are starting to rise, I've been nyphing and didn't want to change lures." Go figure on that one... Fish were rising, but only occasionally, I got a half dozen to hit, but no hook-ups as I constantly changes flies... Finally, I fooled a finicky fish which fought frenetically for a few moments.

Filled up the night before in anticipation of an early start.

I wanted to go sohoing but, didn't get out of the house until 11ish, so I drove on up to the local, forgetting that it was race weekend. I managed to avoid the traffic by taking the back way in. It was close to noon and the sun was beating down through the cloudless sky. I was using this trip as a Gopro experiment, using the camera with the "chesty" harness for the first time.

Topped off on the way home....

Learned a few lessons about the camera, grabbed some stills from the footage...
I had a few follows, that was all...

Work sux so I took the dog out for a bit.
Intended to try a time-lapse with the GoPro, but
couldn't mash the correct buttons... d:b

I was in such a rush to get to the river that I left my
cell phone on the seat (not secure in a convertible)
and didn't check the tippet on my lanyard, only hade 12 lb
no 6x or 7x, fished with a clipped 9 6x foot leader, but after
changing flies a few times it was getting pretty stout. Also
forgot the magic fly dust stuff... Bwos, Sulfurs, Caddis, Midges
and Yellow Drakes, I tied on a big ole Sulfur parachute and
that did the trick...

Made this for the hater p;-

The hunt continues for the big browns. It rained all day Saturday and I should have gone then, but I thought the river might be too muddy.  Sent out a group msg to my hommies, one yes, on can't and one was too hungover and in the godhouse. I was hoping the water would still be off color on Sunday. I couldn't believe how clear the river was when we arrived just before noon. Despite the full on sun, there was a chill in the air and the wind was wicked at times. We fished all the usual spots and found a few new ones as well, we both moved a couple of fish and felt a short lived tug or two. As the day was getting late we made a move to another section. That worked for me and the Spork had a tug as well.

id the tree from the seed?

found this hoop in the water, any ideas???
