Product & Gear Info and Reviews / Stripping Baskets
Last post by Woolly Bugger - April 09, 2019, 11:41:25 am
I needed a basket to keep the line out of the dirt while chasing carp at the local pond.

I went with the Linekurv, and paid $59.95 plus S&H, a bit spendy but I like the sleek Scandinavian design and the forest green color. I thought I was getting the *new* elastic belt which I think would be a plus, but got the standard non-stretch web belt.

I was thinking that the basket would come in handy on boat trips and surf fishing too. My shad trip to the James was the first time I had the opportunity to give it a try and found it indispensable.

Fred says he got his Danish designed basket on Amazon for 25 bucks, but the price has since gone up...

there is a selection of Stripping Baskets on Amazon

Trail Logic M/L. Internal aluminum frame.
Low miles. 10ish nights out and about.
37 liter main compartment, 15 liter detachable burrito.
Lots of pockets. Two deep pockets in compression flaps
that are perfect for rod tubes or tent poles.
No hydration system included.
Great 3 season pack for 1-3 nights.
Big ass daypack without burrito.
Best for 5'10" - 6'2" peoples.
No wear marks, one compression strap stained.
Rain tarp included.
I'm upping my game for longer trips. This fine pack needs a new owner.  -0-

Product & Gear Info and Reviews / Re: Okuma Fly reels
Last post by Al - February 22, 2019, 15:24:49 pm
One of my Salmon / Striper rods has one and I like it just fine. My $79 Okuma works just as well or better then those +$250 reels I encounter on the same waters.
