Title: life lessons

Two things learned and reaffirmed today, fishing is much better than working, especially on a Monday, and this stream is best fish in the spring and fall.  No redemption was achieved today as I had hoped for.

Today was very mediocre, at best, for this river.

Here's what this river has produced for me in better conditions.  Meaty bastards.

Nice been selection, and your fishing success makes me feel better about my lack of it there recently.

Great report!  I love Sculpin, but have shifted to Grapefruit Sculpin this Spring/Summer.  I resisted mightily for a while since I don't like "fruity" beers, but this stuff is not fruity or sweet and is assume!  Is it better than regular Sculpin, probably not, but is is almost as good and real refreshing on a hot day.

:embarassed:  probably too much on beer...  My apologies.

How do you find 2 people to fish with on a regular Monday?
I can hardly find 1 person to fish with me on a Saturday/Sunday.

Intriguing looking water – thank you Ben.

That moss-like mat on the rock with the wheel/tire --- can anyone ID that stuff?

You just need to find some people who like to call in sick.  Cough, cough!

How you like that 60 minute IPA?  I haven't had it in 4 years, at least.  Much more palatable than I remember.

I hear ya.  The sculpin in itself is a solid beer, the grapefruit sculpin is even better, and hell I don't even like grapefruit.

I guess I have friends that like to fish as much as me.   ;D

I enjoyed them. Although, to be perfectly honest, most of them came after drinking several Sweetwater IPAs or Dale's on the beach each day so I'm not sure how much I actually tasted.

Sweetwater IPA is pretty good stuff, I drank a bunch of it at the beach last week. It has a lot of grapefruit taste I thought, not as hoppy as most IPA's I like but a solid beer.

sweetwater ipa is def very gratefruit-y.  I really like how light it is for an ipa too.  But i'm biased.  i drink a lot of that stuff.  even better fresh at the brewery.

I haven't drank the Sweetwater IPA in a while, may need a refresher on it.  I've been drinking a lot of another Jawjuh IPA, the Terrapin Hi-5 IPA.  It ain't bad at all.

I was surprised to see you drinking only IPA's (or at least only pics of IPA's) in this TR. That Sweetwater is easy drinking and hop light.

BTW, I plan to fish the hell outta that stream this fall.

Yes, count me in.  Hopefully we won't have a rainy ass fall though (atypical) to thwart those plans.
