purple squirrel

Hello, my name is Earl but having been going by "Purple Squirrel" since my youth and use it on some other forums so I can keep in touch with those I meet around the country. I have been flyfishing exclusively now for about 3 years and just recently started doing some traveling trips to some other states..
Other than my home water, the Sipsey Fork of the Black Warrior River (Alabama's only year round trout stream), I live close enough to Tenn. to fish the Duck and Elk rivers there and have fished some streams around Helen, Ga. and just recently several rivers and streams in the southwest corner of NC.
I hope I can learn a bit about trout fishing in moving water, the Sip averages 30-40 cfs during non-generation, without slowing down the board.

Pastor explains icons to my son: you know like the fish symbol on the back of cars.
My son: My dad has two fish on his car and they're both trout!

+1 applaud based on the execution of the name, avatar, and signature. Now I'm going to stop watching that squirrel run around before I shoot my screen with a .22
