My wife, daughter and I all left Sat. for a week in Missouri with my parents. This is where I grew up, and it is nice to get away. My brother and I hit a pond this morning and I caught my first fish, other than trout, on a fly rod.
They wanted nothing to do with topwater, so I put on a small weighted woolly bugger, and they wanted it. I caught two small ones, and one that would have went almost two pounds. Put a big bend in the pole.
I am off to float some trophy smallmouth and trout water tomorrow.
Don't have any pics of the day, but will get some the next time I go.

The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane.
