This morning I had a few hours to get in some fishing.  My first trip of the year I do believe, as January and February typically involve more days chasing birds.  Friday was my wife's birthday, so we went out to a nice Richmond dinner...

After a fun trip to the zoo yesterday, it was time to fish today.  Headed west early, grabbed my usual fishing partner and a biscuit and crossed the Blue Ridge.  After a few hours of freezing and windy casting, this guy came to hand.

That fish is my personal best for a trout in Virginia.  But one of the best parts is my daughter asking when we can go fishing....

Stella's is awesome.  I had lunch there a few weeks back with my daughter.  Really nice Brown.

Have not done lunch there, but I imagine it's great.  Our first time we had a reservation at 5, and were surprised at how crowded it was.
