Saw some Trillium cuneatum coming up a few days ago. I need to go check my ramp patch.

Didn't know what a Southern Appalachian fen (corrected - I blame spellcheck)  was.  Googled it.

Situated between Holston Mountain and the Iron Mountains, the community of Shady Valley, Tennessee, once contained an estimated 10,000 acres (40 kmĀ²) of cranberry bogs.[6] In recent years, The Nature Conservancy has initiated a bog restoration program in Shady Valley.[

I thought you knew Grayson don't share shit with anybody, but I'd venture to guess this is Allegheny county NC.

Looking for an answer offline.
I know it isn't Cranberry Glades, WV. A must visit for plant geeks. It's real, it's alive. The southernmost true sphagnum bog in the US. Cranberries, pitcher plants, sundews, 7 orchid species. I'll lead a tour. Backcountry fishing real close.

Never saw one that big. Fens are fascinating places for sure if you're a native plant nut.

It was pretty amazing. Took an act of congress to get in there, but it was worth it. Saw more than one mature/fruiting Am. Chestnuts
