Title: Chauga River?
Post by: brownhunter on July 21, 2015, 12:13:13 PM
This is a river in SC that I haven't fished, when I'm in that area I always go to the more well known Chatooga, but a buddy has asked me to fish and he lives down in that area. Does anyone have any knowledge of this river? I'm just interested in if it would be worth my time or not.
Thanks

Fish it and tell us all about it.

I haven't been there in over a decade . . .

I love it when people use the fishing reports section to ask questions about streams.

Anyway, fish it after they stock it with joe's flies and panther martins.  They are really hitting the black and yellow ones right now.

I think little Cleos and tiny beetle spins  work better there.  We used to use an alternative to Panther Martins, but I cannot for the life remember what the hell they're called

There is an intro section.  Find it and use it.
