Had a couple of Florida buddies up for the weekend.
Floated the trophy section, the crowd wasn't too bad for a Sunday.
It was 37 degrees when I left the house and crept up to about 45 before dropping again about 10 AM, then about 1PM the wind laid a bit and we got a brief peek at the sun...but it was enough to get the bugs moving.
Between two boats (four of us) we landed well over 40 fish, closer to 60, mostly rainbows. We caught fish on dries, nymphs, and streamers. The salt guys lost a ton fish (and flies ;), and a few really big fish came unbuttoned in fast water. We caught mostly bows, landed a few browns and even caught a few brookies. Biggest bow landed went 20", most were 14-15"...

As bleak as it was looking for a while in the AM, it ended up being a stellar day on the water.

Sounds like a pretty fine day!

Fine day too be on the water and avoid the crowds that fair weather brings out....

Great fishing with you Tx...we'll have to do it again soon. Ive got a picture or two of a few good fish I'll try and post but I was busy with the oars while my salter wiffed on the pigs!

Txfly

I didn't get but five shots (too busy rowin' or fishin')...here's four of them:
First is Launch On'e and Larry the salter.
Second is the average size we caught, not too shabby.
Third fish has tallon scars from raptor.
Fourth is one of the browns.
Had a good time Launch, good luck under the knife manana, we'll sure do it again.
