Hit the road at 0500 hrs to make the 3 hour trek up 421

I get excited every time I start seeing the contours of the landscape change as I get closer to trout country
I pulled in about 0900, the sun still working it's was over the ridge line.

Weather was chilly but not too bad so I suited up adding an extra layer on the bottom before putting on my fishing garb and heading out up the trail. (nothing like army gear to keep you warm!) Fired up a smoke and I was ready!

Worked my way up the trail scoping out some holes and banks all the way up to the campsite before I dropped in the creek and started working it back to the road.
