Mudwall Gatewood 3.0

Caught some proper browns, and cooked up 31 (has to be a prime #) smaller ones for the crew and the rancher's family. 

High plains flowers for Doug and Fin

Experienced some firsts:

Excellent.  I  was thinking you hadn't been around lately.

It still amazes me the patterns that will take western browns.  There would be hundreds of the Gray Drake spent-spinners on the water at times; some fish would take that pattern, others would require what I consider an off-the-wall fly – like the fly in the 1st browns mouth, the LD Cotton Pony, or the brighter pink HD Cotton Pony, or some humongous Wulff.  Makes no darned sense!!!

Very nice, some awesome country out there!  Don't like seeing all those feral horses, but what are you going to do...  Let me know if your rancher friend has too many antelope on his place, in spite of some of the wives tales, they are mighty fine eating.
