Got a call from Bill Saturday evening while I was at work. Said he'd found the Shad and "wore 'em out" (that's Redneck fer "perverted").
Met Bill at his house Sunday mornin' and we headed to the Savannah River near Waynesboro.
After a brisk 20 minute run up stream. Anchored up and Bill was into 'em quick.
Hang time @ 3.7 seconds.

LoginBite was funny, some hit the fly soon as it hit the water, some on a dead drift,
some on the swing, some stripping in fast and some hanging in the current
behind the boat after a drift/swing. Caught between 30-40 between us.
All except 2 came on the unnamed Shad fly.
Last fish of the day. This 4# + American tried every trick in the book to
get off. Jumped, headed upstream fer the anchor rope, ran under the boat
(had the top end of the rodgrip in the water to keep the rod off the boat and
easily cleared the line under Bills jet outboard), bulldogged into the heavy midstream
current before coming to see us.
