Work finally let me get away to go fishing for a full day.
I had options:
No generation on the Smith... Winter sucks there and the other half has no fish anymore.
Stripers at the local lake.. Spotty reports from bait guys I know ruled that out
Make the long drive to a stream I haven't fished in 5 years.
I decided on the latter. Grabbed a Franzen, and the new 6wt glass rod I built and hit the road.

Didn't take long to get into a good fish

Patrick broke off the biggest fish of the day on the hookset, he was pretty sick after that.
Got into a few for good fish

Turns out it was worth the drive.

Hopefully it won't be 5 months before I fish for trout again.
btw- don't ask for details on this stream, none will be given
Nice bows for sure, one of those looks like an Erie steelhead.
Solid work! If not Epic.
Really good chit mang! n!n
Nice! Purdy bows. I need to get out soon!
Bet those bows put a nice bend in the rod. Not a bad way to cap off the year.
This is great.
I like the fine print....
