Title: Nostalgia

In lieu of the other warm water reports, I decided to stick around the house this weekend and get some things done around here and fish a little bit

I worked on projects around the house all day Saturday, So I decided to fish Sunday until another obligation at 4pm. Upon going to bed the night before I noticed the house seemed a bit warm. Thermostat said 76 and the vents were blowing air about the same temp. Decided to shut it off and open the windows and turn the fan on and deal with it in the AM. This prompted a late start. Found the problem called a HVAC buddy to see if he had the part.

My destination is a place I have probably fished close to a hundred times. I was probably 10 the first time i fished here. But I haven't fished it since 2011ish due to access. Being only 10min from my house I just had my wife drop me off and I would call her when I was ready. Did I mention this is probably the most beautiful stretch of river in the Piedmont. I'm sure Ken has been here for the whitewater.

The only species of sunfish I caught were redbreast and bluegill, Which was suprising and great, because last time I was here I all i caught were the invasive Green Sunfish. Unfortunately no "Noke's though.

Went back out this AM to a different river same basin. Same shit, less bites, more heat and a bote. Was off the water by 10:30

Never fished #1.  Didn't think there was enough water/pools to harbor fish of any count.  It is remarkable that bass thrive in 60 fpm gradient.  There are many trout streams that are not that steep.  This little report is interesting for sure.

I also noted you were using topwater.  I threw topwater shit yesterday for two hours, and did not even get a hit.  One of the reasons I went bass fishing yesterday was to watch the surface explode.  That all being said, the section I fished yesterday wasn't a first choice due to dirty water.
