Going down to NC to Weldon and try my hand at a few shad. Report to follow

Be glad to see some Shad pictures...
The run down here the last two years has been dismal.

My "mentor" of sorts was down there a couple weeks ago...he said it was really off this year. Throw pink. That's all I know! I've never done it.

I talked to a cousin who lives in Fredericksburg. He said the shad must be running in the Rapp because of the heron population along the river.  -0-

Looks like some fine Hickory Shad there...  Did y'all catch any American Shad?

Billres and I saw some last Wednesday while fishin' below the Lock & Dam on the Savannah River near Augusta, GA. 





They were jumping to elude some big ass Stripers.  We couldn't get a bite from either
