little fishin' report

I've been trying for days to hit some local water, but the stars have not been in alignment.



I got a call from my son who has been hiking the AT, he had come down with a cold and wasn't sure if he was up to continuing the hike.  They were at the NOC and would let me know what they were going to do. Since I hadn't heard from them I hit some local water with the intention of checking messages after lunch.


Midge were everywhere and the fish were stacked up in the feeding lanes. I put on a pair of nymphs, a bow with a zebra dropper. It didn't take long before the bamboo was bent.

















Despite the clear sky the bite was on and it was hard to take a break, to drive into town to check up on the boys. They had decided that it would be best if Chris bailed out, so I drove over to the NOC and picked them up. More driving than fishing... I was planning to go back tomorrow, but I've got a meeting to attend... arggggg   o-o
