Interesting...
The Park and Feds have worked really hard to keep the bows out of this one (Lynn Camp Prong). Maybe they just got tired and said "fuck it"?
The Southern Appalachian brook trout? It's probably extinct. Too many enviro factors that lead me to believe they are all but lost.

That is interesting.  That stream will get hammered this spring.

I haven't read any good reasoning other than they probably want to see how long it takes the rainbows to move back in.
Yup, going fishing

Grannyknot

I bet lynn camp was an absolute clusterfuck this past weekend.

I agree with Ben.  They can have it.

Jesus Christ, you'd think it's the only brookie stream in the Smokies.

Aka

When did they stock brookies in the Smokies?

Seems like the lynn camp project started about 5 years ago.  Maybe more.

Ah yes now I remember, this is the stream that they tried to remove all the rainbows from a few years back but failed so they hard to basically start all over.   That was conveniently left out of the article.

Dang, that is ridiculous.  You'd think they just opened up Bear Creek for fishing for Greenback Cutthroat.

I had no idea there were brookies in the park. I thought they were all down lower in Cherokee on the tribal water.

about the same year you threw seven pick sixes when you was playing for dem JETSSSSS

Swim rainbows, SWIMMMM -+; They did it a few years ago and they will do it again. Park officials claimed dipshits were hiking back in there with coolers. Where is my thread from a few years back? Here's the answer, shock the punes, pour rotenone into headwaters. Wait for undesired punes to croak, restock shocked punes.
No wait, thats what Cali did to put Paiutes back in Silver King Creek. Oops... n!n

Yeah, there and Lynn Camp Prong.

Grannyknot

They used antimycin for the initial fish kill.
