Hey guys, been a while since I've posted here (Years!). I figured in order to get back into the culture here, I would repost and take a ritual ass-chewing. I live in Arlington, VA now, working in DC. Wild brookies down in Madison County are fun, as well as drainage pipe sunfish, and downtown Georgetown carp. Until next time!

American eels in Accotink Creek.

Carp in Royal Lake.

Kings Park West, ftw.
I was born by the river in a little tent, And just like the river I've been running ever since, It's been a long, long time coming, But I know change is gonna come.

Fellow Hokie here. I once caught Koi on a fly in the Hahn's Horticulture Garden pool at daylight one Sunday morning. Carp in the Duck Pond was also fun, casting across the road to the sorority houses, snapping tippet on passing by antennaes....

Arlington's not too bad. I bike most of the place, and leave dodge on the weekends.

I have also eyeballed said koi.  After the kiddos were done letting them eat from their hands I noticed a sign stating, " Do Not Feed Fish".  Not sure if feeding them flies applies or not.  Either way I don't think it would be much of a challenge.

I caught a white one. Fought like hell, ran back up the little stream under the bridge on a little 6' 3 wt. They'll eat anything, no skill involved.

Hey The Dude, you mention Kings Park West....for carp? Or access to Royal Lake? I may head up there one evening this week.

Both. But it has been many years since I prowled those waters, so I don't know for sure what it is like now.  They may have recently dredged it, are in the process of dredging it, or plan on dredging it soon. I think I heard something about that. You may want to check with FCPA.
