headed out, forgot my vest with all of my fly boxes, returned home...
headed back out... took the wrong road (started out for the wrong river)
by the time I realized my mistake I was forced to use the GPS to find
a route to the desired river. Got there about two and a half hours later
than I would have if I had everything packed.

Strong sun penetrated the canopy, but most of the water was still in the shade.
Millions of midges, stoneflies, a few green drakes along with an assortment of march browns and some bwos were flying around. Didn't see any fish rise, but the dragonflies were on the lookout for stoneflies and nabbed a few off of the water as they laid their eggs.

double nymph rig brought the fish to hand. lost a few flies on submerged logs.  too bad I couldn't have stayed longer... oh well, next time...
