Title: Listen up Woodrowcall
Post by: Woolly Bugger on October 31, 2009, 11:13:16 AM
After I got home from the Watauga I was sitting in front of the TV with the laptop open, it was running slow and I decided to reboot.  Unknown to me it began a windows update upon restart. It somehow shutdown during the install and I spend the next five hours trying to restore windows! I think I got to bed by 3 AM!  Got up way too late to make it back to the SoHo so I headed off to the D. A quick check showed that the river was flowing around 200 CFS! Great conditions. GPS said I'd be there at 1:30, that would leave 5 hours of fishing time! 50/50 on the windshield time, not a bad trade...

Took Sally along with me, didn't have a clue how she would do on the river, but I'd give it a shot. Fished up the hatchery so I could keep an eye on her. She sat down on the bank, and in short order I hooked a big fatty. All the commotion in the water failed to get her attention and when I showed her the fish she just turned her head away!

After I while we moved on downstream and Sallly watched from the bank as I caught a number of big fat rainbows.

A drizzle started about 4 and I headed up to get my rain gear and we fished up there till dark...

The river ended up being a bit crowed, I guess I'll wait for real shitty weather before going back... ;)

Nice go'in........ 0--0

Wish I could have made it, but I was knee deep in CFD analysis, and making last minute changes for "Colonel Klink", and crew.....mudda Fukka's keeping me from fishing, thats OK, they are going to pay dearly, when they get my bill.

Tomorrow......I will fish

Big fat@ss bows! Looks like a good day on the water. My lab has a bad habit of releasing the fish for me....right before they see the net :'(
