Title: Satisfying the Senses
Post by: Onslow on July 26, 2020, 18:41:09 PM

Just try to be happy amongst the petulant ingrates, or..  And for the racially obsessed, the ethnicity of the gentleman pictured on the album posing is irrelevant.

Dropped my son off at the normal soak hole to cool off at the park, and I headed off into the bush to an unfamiliar place. After some brush beating, pulling some gradient, and sweating like a pig, I finally ended up here.

Caught a few of these.

Found remnants of a trail, but it wasn't without its challenges and perils. Deadfalls were everywhere, one of which I slipped on, and performed a spectacular face-plant. Thankfully my eyes were not scratched or harmed.

To hell with fishing.  I have a garden full of colorful vegetables, and the sight of them pleases me.

Picked some eggplant, gathered a couple leeks, and our countertop was already covered with squash, onions, cucumbers, and peppers.

The kebab sauce was simply rosemary, sunflower oil, and honey.  The eggplant was brushed with olive oil, and thyme.  Added some rosemary and basil while grilling.

Erik, I only fished for 45 minutes. Much slower than expected. I just wanted to see more of the outback.

Fine looking food, and some rough-ass looking water. You should have picked a few of those indigo milky cap shrooms and cooked them too, they're not bad at all.

I'm shroom ignorant. I don't recall ever seeing this variety, hence the reason why I took the pic. Probably the most valuable info is harvest times for each variety.
