Friday I made a trip back to Lenoir to finally, after 4 years, legally switch over the names on the titles of the cars my parents and I switched.  Took care of that by lunch, Dad got off work at 1 and after visiting with the grandparents for a bit we finally left at 2 to head up to fish.

Didn't have a ton of time, but decided to do a little hiking and jump in a lot sooner than I ever have on this water.  This section of water was all new to me and looked promising.

Hopping around the rocks at the top we had some nice deep water to hit, moved a couple trout, we were throwing big streamers, but never connected with one.

Really good day with Dad, he was the only one to manage a fish all day, 2 inch chub, we both moved a couple, but it was a fun hike and had a great time hanging out with the old man.

Some flowers for Doug

Pastor explains icons to my son: you know like the fish symbol on the back of cars.
My son: My dad has two fish on his car and they're both trout!

Bless you, my son of another father!
Good stuff. Glad to see R. maximum still in bloom at altitude.  'c;

One of those closeups showed a rod tip. Unusual wrap. And tobacco glass. Give me some info?
BTW, lost my Dad way too young. Enjoy this time.

Thanks Guy. I like it! Rocking the old Ocean City, too.
I've got some project Dencos and an Actionrod that will get similar treatment.
