Title: H2O Overload

I went to one of the smallest watersheds I can tolerate for an early morning sojourn.

Still too much water, with 2 more inches in the forecast in a couple days

It wasn't terribly cold, but the wind was brisk.  Laurel leaves turned, and twigs bent as the wind howled.

Just enough tease to keep me interested.  Would be pockets of calm water, now wild and raucous.

After an 1.5 hours, I lost my rig in 5' of water.  Being bummed out a bit, I turned around to head back to turck.  Just two fish, and another moved.....I've got better things to do.

Things were getting insane

Fording creeks after flooding when the creek bottom is not visible is risky business.  I have no idea how damage I've done to my truck.  Oil pressure is still good, lol.

I might as well mothball my gear until next Spring.  Yet another season of piss poor conditions seem to beset us all.  I shall spend more time in a blind with instruments of death in hand.

Nice choice ken. Thought you would've done better there. Pumping hard for sure.

That stream was on my mind a couple days ago. Good to see you tickling her.

Were both fish brookies?

Yeah, I was actually expecting a pile of amorous bows pushing up from down low.

The other fork would have been better choice.  Smaller watershed, and more cascade/pool situations at least for the first quarter of a mile.
