Has anyone used furled leaders and what is your take on them, do you like them or not. Are there any advantage or disadvantage to using them.
Ralph--ODG--uses them and he catches fish like a gill netter so they must work.
I like 'em when fishing non-leaded flys and/or split shot rigs...
I use the twisted mono leaders exclusively. Theres a thread somewhere on here that shows how to make them. There great and they cost almost nothing to make
At the risk of being labled a smart a**, there's a search function at the top of the page. Bring it up and search for 'furled leader'. That will bring up about a dozen threads where this topic has been beaten to death. Those threads should answer just about any question you might have.
Of course, if, after reading all those threads, you still have questions, we'll be more than happy to delve deeper into the topic....
here is a site that might answer your question

Thanks for the info guys and phg thanks for the reminder about the search i forget about it being on here, i dont think that would be reason to say your a smartass.
Paul.........................you're not a smartass, your're more like a know it all :D
I've been using them for 7-8 years now for trout & love them. Super easy to change tippet size or leader length and last for a season or more. I like the ones from Feather-Craft best, I like their end loop better than BlueSky's. Those are the only 2 I've tried.
