Headed down to the Savannah again yesterday....could'nt dig up any company...so I went solo. Got on the water at 4:30 thinking a little night action might be good....but did'nt get a look at a frog popper....after light I went mostly sub-surface with a zonker and Dr.Death catching most of the fish...picked up a redeye and some redbreast and a healthy shellcracker on a chartruese popper. Finally hit paydirt when I hooked into a jackfish....I been wanting one of those! Still could'nt get the gar to wholey commit....a few chases one or two nips....but no solid hook ups.

Saw some serious grey clouds along with some thunder and lightning....so I headed to the take-out.....as others were putting in...I was gettin my ass out.....just as I shut the hatch on the truck....it started coming down.

Thanks...nothing near as good as Wooly's or Catchrelz's....but I'm trying to pay a little more attention to subject matter....I need to learn how to use these damn point and shoots....and get an updated photo program. Problem I have is out on the water....I can't see the damn screen on the optio...or what setting I'm using...so I usually just stick with the basic.
Good stuff OB..That jackfish is cool..And those small bass with the thin lines down the lower part of the body, are they shoal bass?

Thats a redeye bass....they don't get very big....12" is a good one...but when they're feeding they can be real fun....like brookies on a blueline. That Jackfish is about as big as they get too I believe...about 22" and 4 lbs... I used to catch them in the creeks in Ky. but they were rarely over 10 or 12 inches and about as big around as two fingers.
