Went back to a stream in VA I hadn't fished in a couple years.  Figured I pay this place a visit before the area properties are developed.

Got down to the water shortly before 8, and fished until 11.  Things didn't seem to be coming together too well.  Lost a rig in the trees right out of the gate.  30 minutes in, I lost a 16"is fish right at the net.  Not long after I hooked up with a large fish that I could not control and lost another tandem rig.  I have no idea how large this fish was.  The damn thing took off upstream and wrapped my line in some brush.   Somehow I managed to loose rig #3 because my main knot wasn't mis tied.  I cannot see anymore.  Despite all the mishaps, it wasn't a shabby day.

While tussling with a fish, my camera settings for AP were changed to fragment.  This pissed me off a bit being it was quite the fighter, and a memorable fish

Getting in and out was no picnic.  Tons of dead rhodo branches at the top.  No leg breaky tho.

On the way home, I stopped by a another stream to fish a short stretch I had not previously tried.  Yes this is a state road.  The ford was a little deeper than expected possibly due to the water being up a bit.

There was no place to park on the shoulders so I simply parked in the stream

When fishing, a person ought to carry a flask of whisky in case of snakebite. Furthermore, he ought to also carry along a small snake.
