Title: Spring and the Little Brookies Are Out
Post by: Phil on April 11, 2019, 15:44:02 PM
Code:[Select]

Threw the 7' 3 weight Avid in the car and hit a brookie stream today. The first one was a really good one -- of course I got buck fever and blew the photo juggling cameran rod, and fish. He squirted right away. Damn. Caught 5 more, no size, but a beautiful early afternoon for sure. 3 on dropper, 3 on dry. Why does every fish completely tangle up the dropper rig by the time you get 'em back in? Is it just me? Gah.

Every time I'd get ready to clip off the #@%& dropper that was finally untangled, I'd get a bite or catch a fish on it. I hate dry/dropper rigs.  b';

I love dry dropper rigs. Twice the pain, twice the gain.  -+;
But, I might also be a masochist. :;!

I know, I know. The rig catches more fish. I hate/love it. The dang thing is just so easily tangled up into impossible knots. It defies the laws of physics. :o
