Well with winter coming up fast I figured I best get to it this morning and do some brookie fishing.  First things first, I wanted to do some exploring, hoping for some brookies, but any fish would be good.  I still had a fall-back for brookies if my exploration yielded no results.  The bear hunters were out in force, I saw 5 different groups of them tracking their dogs, none of which could be heard.

Saw this grouse on the drive in (first I've ever seen), thought it was a good omen

I tried two new-to-me streams, skinny water gave up nothing, larger water gave up a dink of a bow not worth photographing.

Pastor explains icons to my son: you know like the fish symbol on the back of cars.
My son: My dad has two fish on his car and they're both trout!

Thanks guys...I still can't believe I was able to get close enough to get a few shots of the brookie before I fished to him.  I guess I had never tried that in the past, but figured I'd give it a try and if I didn't catch him as a result no big deal.
