Title: swinging away
Post by: Woolly Bugger on July 15, 2020, 07:18:33 AM

We are bringing day home on the 15th - conference with hospice that evening, so with that in mind I headed back to the river, who knows when I'll be abel to fish again.

No wind. Better casting (some of the time) Water had dropped to 460 cfs, another drop of 150 and the river might be more manageable to wade. Tough moving upstream in mid-thigh deep current, and wading out to the "good spots" would be armpit depth.

Caught 4 or 5 on the swing. They are scrappy fighters and put a bend in the rod. I thought they were bigger. Fished 3.5 hours. One fish busted on the intruder as it hit the water. Almost went and got the single handle rod to through a gurgler
