Title: UP DATE: The Nolichucky!
Post by: HEISMAN on September 17, 2005, 10:23:55 AM
What a great day! :) Water was clear as gin & mid to low levels. Water temp warm (I know because I fell in several times)

Backwoods Joe- Thanks for the advice! Popper action on top in early morn to mid morn outstanding. I fished with a home made popper that I call the Firecracker. (an old hula popper with crystal flash tail)

The smallies seem to be active in the slow rolling pools. Caught several in the middle pools of the river. Had the river to our selfs. Hadn't seen a sole all day.

We fished the gorge area
