Title: Movie -- The River Why
Post by: Phil on November 19, 2011, 18:45:46 PM
Paid $4.99 to watch it this afternoon/evening with my wife. I've been looking forward to it, since the book is one of my all-time favorites.
The movie totally sucked. A boring disaster that didn't even come close.  >:(

She was only thing worth watching (even without enough nudity).

that's why it was never commercially released in the theaters...

Good call. They got my $4 on cable. That pisses me off.  I would have been REALLY pissed if I drove to the nearest Theater (12 miles away),  paid $10 apiece for tickets, and then spent $20 on popcorn and sodas.

The movie sucked a tremendous root.

x2.  It's pretty awful.

PS - If you're into Amber Heard, go see The Rum Diary.  That movie is similarly bad when compared to the book, but she justifies watching it.

Actually, TM, Duncan is a very good writer who wrote a great book. It wasn't just about fishing, you old conservative  dunce. You missed that? It went over your head? Your loss.
Too bad the movie sucked.
