If you only want to see fly fishing reports dont read this. Went last fri. and sat, to do my other fishing passion which is fishing for big blue cats on the tidal James river. the wind was pretty rough so we were not able to fish the main channel much but still caught a few nice ones,
my buddy caught one on fri. that was 45 lbs and i caught one 35. Sat. he caught another 40 lbs and i ended up with 2 over 30 lbs. We caught about 40 other fish ranging from 5- 15 lbs. Forgot the camera on fri but did get one pic. None were caught on a fly rod, sorry, cant figure out how to cast a 6 oz. weight and a chunk of gizzard shad the size of my hand. All in all a good weekend.

If you'ld have put "not flyfishing related" for the subject, the "purists" here wouldn't have even had to click on this story... ;) My favorite way for cats is jugging.
