Title: Neuse Shad at Milburne Dam
Post by: badankles on March 25, 2009, 14:22:16 PM
Did a quick stop over lunch by the dam at the canoe launch to see what the water level was like.  If you are familiar with the area, it's rushing over the dam and flowing high just lapping over the large rock off the bank.

There was a dead shad, 18-20", on the bank.  Looks to be there only a day at the most.  So, if you are interested, it's best to also bring along your spinning gear cuz there's not much of a back cast right now.

Good luck.
