Got out today for the first time in a while, as i had a free day i was looking forward to all week. Plan A was to hit some small tribs on this side of the mountains, but as i was headed west from richmond, everything looked pretty high and dirty from that round of weather we got Friday. So plan B it was. Kept pushing to the valley and hit a always dirty spring creek for a few hours. Personal best couple of hours I've ever had on that creek with double digit numbers and average size. Big, dark, and deep is what seemed to be working, so i fished the same fly the entire time.
On the way back home, i took a quick detour and picked up a brookie on the east slope.

I hate that stream.
Nice fish!
Cool beans, have not fished that creek, yet!
Looks like a great stream to "not" like. Glad you even found a place to fish with all the rain we keep having.
Big honkin' spring creek browns. Dayum. Likey! 'c;
those browns look a little funny to me. Are they possibly scottish browns ??
Nice fish for sure !!
