I'm guessing something bad has happened to him. I've roamed that area most of my life, it's not far from where I live. There is nowhere in that whole area that I can't go downhill and walk out to a road in half a day.

>>>On Monday, officials said over a dozen search teams with more than 80 members left the command post at around 9 a.m. to resume the search.

"In addition to the regional teams that joined the search yesterday, today teams from Alabama and Georgia joined the search," according to the release. "Today's efforts will focus on detailed searches of areas within 100 meters of trails and off-trail areas throughout the Shining Rock Wilderness Area. K9 teams are again joining ground searchers."

The Incident Management Team is asking people to avoid the area and to make alternative plans to help keep the area clear for search efforts.

After listening to the sister and wife (I know what you're thinking Mudwall) I'm am wondering if there is some mental issues involved.

On the other hand the women hiker in Zion NP was found after 12 days... full details aren't provided on her sabbatical.

I hate to hear about this.  I've ton a good bit of fishing, hiking, and backpacking in Shining Rock.

I saw a Facebook post regarding this from his sister, I believe.  I hope they find him alive and well, but it's not looking good.
