Had a little time to kill this morning.  Was a little chilly, so I debated for about half of a second to head out and fish, but figured what the hell.  I hit some new water, and fish were biting.  Top 5 fish all spit the hook, other than that mostly dinks were brought to hand, but had a few good 8+ fish holes, so I'll take it.

Had on three occasions hooked into a smaller bow, and had a larger bow come out of nowhere and chase the fish all the way up to my feet.  Strange occurrence considering even the biggest ones were only pushing 10" long.

I'm still a little slow on fishing the dropper full-time now, so had a few bad hook sets and lost a number of fish on the retrieve.  Practice makes perfect though.

Was a little foggy on the drive out:

this would be the only brookie I saw...he chased the fly on my first cast to him, but didn't take it.  I spent the next 15 minutes trying 5 different flies and lines to land him to no avail

On another note, this is my latest project.  It was a groomsman present from a friend of mine whose wedding I was in that got married in Savannah last week.  A Mosin Nagant Russian infantry rifle, made in 1937.   It cleaned up quite nicely, can't wait to get out and shoot it.

He gave me a box of ammo too...let's get on it.  We just need to find a place and we'll put some lead down-range.

p.s.  That gun was a bitch to get looking that nice.  I completely disassembled it and cleaned it from the bones up.

It is Blue Water Seafood, good chit...they actually have one in Hendersonville too, but I haven't been there.  Take note of their Asheville hours though because they only serve food for lunch.  I buy fish there too on the evenings to cook up myself every once in a while.  It is just a few streets over from the house.
