Ah yes, I remember attempting to compose a plan to fish/camp/fish the 30 mile remote stretch of the Neuse back in the early 90s. While doing some pre trip scouting on a jon boat, me and my bud encountered a group of Johnston Cnty's finest rednecks drunk, sunburnt and randomly shooting at shit. I ended up not following through with the plan.
