more trillium

stocked nubby bows infiltrated the lower reaches. caught a few, didn't even want to touch their anemic bodies. was glad to finally catch a few of the wild browns. despite some clouds they weren't any easier to catch. as a matter of fact got the skunk on a number of reliable holes. climbed up over the falls and cast into a nice run, missed two trouts on almost back to back casts. my mind was wondering. maybe it was the kingfisher flying up the river.

makes it all worth while, couldn't help thinking about all the other fishermen lined up far below to catch rubber trout. I fished almost two miles of river and had the whole place to myself...

not too many bugs on the water today, don't know if it was the wind, cooler temps or what.

lost an old friend, this tree shaded the run I've named "fisherman's rest" for the copper trout that hung from it's overreaching branches proclaiming that the fisherman's daughter had spread his ashed in the river. Now the tree has succumbed to the winter floods, might have been all the rain, but I tend to blame all bad things that are happening to this river on the golf course on top of the ridge.

ex - I'm not going to live with you through one more fishing season!
me -There's a season?

Pastor explains icons to my son: you know like the fish symbol on the back of cars.
My son: My dad has two fish on his car and they're both trout!

Beautiful scenery and pics as usual WB.  Way to get out...
There's a big difference between a dry fly dancing through
a riffle and a weighted fur ball dragging on the bottom.
