Went to find some brookies today and found one ;D fished about maybe a mile up in , catching bows here and there from 3-7 inches or so prally around 10 or 12 stopped for lunch at a pool after catching a couple out of it. Decided to fish a little bit further, didnt wanna leave with out seeing some spots. Came up to a nice wide even pool kinda looked like a mini dam. Casted from down stream n caught a little nottyhead , crept around to the head of the pool and let my hares ear drift down and pump the fight was on -0- was my first "big" trout on my superfine and my first big wild brookie didnt measure him but id say a strong 12. Let him go n sat back and relaxed for a bit watching a few caddis and the occasional mayfly pop off and decided to call it a day.

heck yeh flipped me out i think i freaked out some hikers from my hollerin; haha looked like he was starting to get a hump on his back he been around for a while

doubt it was a stocker had a real dark mouth n plenty of teeth, most stockers i caught dont have the dark mouth . and the place i was fishin i dont think its been stocked in quiiiiiite some time. but always could traveled a few miles up stream who knows
