Nice.  I need to get back down there with the sulphur hatch.  Supposed to be a great weekend!

Fishing tomorrow. This is a preview TR? Teaser?
Met a club member at the river at 4. Got down before the water started to fall and found a guy in THE run. Good on him for beating us.  'c;
Went through the jocularities and moved on. Not one of you assholes.
Went down below and got rigged up. E went low. I kept our boy in sight.
Sulfurs were coming off in small waves. Much activity, then nothing.
Fishing was mostly the same.
We got chased off early by rain accompanied by mucho thunder. Knowing that lighting fries humanoids holding attracting sticks, we retreated.  b';

They are active and chunky. Bring emergers/soft hackles or go home sad.

Floated from the 666 bridge to the Great rd. takeout yesterday afternoon. Sulphur hatch was on and caught a pile of fish. Good to see fish rising with the water up. Took my buddies daughter out with us for the first time. Fun day. Leaving for Henry's Fork and possibly a side trip to the Missouri Saturday morning.

Any mentionable specimens?

It's the upper, so nothing huge but the fish look a little bigger then usual up there. The higher flows are improving the whole river. Gonna suck when it drops back to 35cfs for the minimal.

The flows have really helped the transplants to the lower river.  Hope there is enough water to keep things going through the summer as the heat comes on.  2017 has been amazing.

RIP Chris.

Two back to back days on the bitch. Wish the weather was more cooperative.
Got run off early by a storm yesterday (should have stuck it out  b';). Did not get to the end of day magic.
Stuck out three storm interruptions today. Chased to the bank and tree cover by lighting three times, drenched twice.
Could not stay late today, so of course a glorious sulfur hatch got cranked up at 5 when I had to leave.  b'; again.
Martial bliss beats brown trout heaven.
The dump.

Was able to get down there (finally) yesterday morning. Some risers, but not much coming off the water. Gauge read 430+ cfs, so upstream wading was a chore.

Fish caught: 0
Kayakers: 40+
Beers drank: 2

Beats cutting the grass.

Mostly.
Kayak/nasty bikini hatch mid-day.
Definitely beats mowing.

Gauge is 350 at Bassett, mo better for wading, got there about 4is, sulfurs were poppin and fish be rising. Had to bail at 6:30, caught about 20 punes, all on the surface. It was fun to target and connect. Will be going back this afternoon and staying late.

I am sure there is a way to rotate this photo but I can't figure it out - which is one reason I don't post many reports here anymore (Woolly are you listening - this site is not user friendly)

Dougfish

Lol.
And buffing it, too.
