Smart call. It was brutal. Flogged until 2. Did the front put the bite down? Managed 3 early.  Computer is acting up. Maybe pics later?

I almost didn't go this morning. Wind was howling at home and I could go Saturday instead.
Nah. I was should have been committed. And I knew I'd probably have it to myself.

Started gearing up. When your assembled rod and reel almost blows off the roof of the car, you might have made a wrong decision.  :o
Any of you guize lose the lube for your joint?





Save a tree, eat a beaver.



Conditions dictated the fishing. The wind was coming directly downstream OK, soft hackles and wet flies across and down.



Managed 2 small browns and a surprisingly nice stocker bow.
Then the wind really kicked up.   n!n
No coffee.



The trees were creaking and swaying. Lots of small and medium branches and branchlets started hitting the water.
When one hit me, I packed it in.



And 2016 is in the books.

Weather was good.

Stopped at a new for me spot---got skunked.

Went elsewhere---put on a streamer I tied.

Bam---my best fish of the year :



Suprisingly he didnt fight that much---kinda just layed there like fuuuccck not again...

Saw a couple more fish, one rather large brown that was tailing the fly, practically sniffing it...but wouldn't commit

Welp a good end to the year...
