Title: PFD recomendation
Post by: natureboy on November 29, 2017, 12:15:06 PM
I need a recommendation for a good winter time boating PFD.  I'll primarily use it when hunting out of the raft, so I'll have on waders and jacket, be rowing and need to be able to shoulder a shotgun.

Maybe something like these?

Thoughts?

Ive got one of the chinook PFDs. Mines about 6 or 7 years old. It's falling apart, but has seen a lot of use.

This will be the next one I buy. Much tougher material.

I use a inflatable PFD for hunting. Lets me still use jacket pockets and shoulder a gun with no problem.

I ended up getting the Ronny Fisher, pretty good sale on them right now at backcountry, especially if you haven't ordered from there before and hit the extra 15% off.
