Fished the stream I caught my first brook trout at today.  Was planning on fishing a different stream, but with all the rain we got last night I decided to fish a stream I knew would drain out fast.  My first brook trout I've ever caught came from this pool:

I was armed with an 8 wt, a royal wulff I tied up that looked like garbage, hiking boots, and a pair of jeans.     Brought back some good memories.

Today was probably the best day on the stream I've had so far this year.  Fish were very active and there were some big trout that were active.

The first few trout were this size.

This deer scared the piss out of me.  Jumped right in front of me on the hike out.
