Billres, was kind enough to call me Monday from the river while I was at work.
"Hey man the Shad are biting the unnamed Shad fly again, call me when you can slip off".
Called him after I got home from work as my wonderful wife said she'd mind the store
Tuesday ifn I wanted to go fishin'.
We got to the river @ sunup and after a brisk ride upriver... Found the Shad Still bitin'

The Shad bit off & on all morning. Missed a lot of bites, had several slip the hook and I broke 1 off due to slow fingers (4x tippet & operator error = fish and fly gone).
Wound up with around 20 or so. Mostly Hickories and 3 Americans.
Weather warmed up nicely and we left 'em bitin' @ 1:00PM.
