Back to a steady producer. We were not going to try to kill ourselves, so some running and gunning on the lower gradients was the plan.

We were hooking up. But crap! We were losing about half the fish right before landing. Those frigging bows were going ballistic.
Scott switched to a dry after 15 or so fish. I stayed bottom bouncing. He already had 4 or 5 brookies and was looking for the slam.

I switched to a dry because he was picking up some good fish. Scott had caught a stocker bow earlier. This is miles above stocked water. Then I latched into one about 14" long. Fought like a sock, but came unbuttoned right before landing. Swam back into the same run. I cast back in and it chased the fly. We looked at each other, WTF? I dried the fly, cast it back in and bam, it hit it again. Sore mouth dude was starving to death? Got the ugly mofo in the net this time. He'll be racoon bait soon, as fukked up as his fins were.

Old school again. 50's Silaflex, 40's Pflueger Gem. Damn, I love this rod.
