October has been really good to me. I have fished every weekend this month. Month of Big J. Wife was out of town with the girls Sunday so I called up Doug and decided to check out a few streams in an area we haven't covered that well. Scouted around a half dozen streams yesterday. Found two that look promising and need more thorough investigating.

Doug started out the trip really good. Forgot his pack at home with all his flies, tippet, etc. He remembered his fly rod, reel, and beer. Essentials.

This stream is pretty but not a viable population.

Doug got excited about these. I forgot the name already.

Clethra acuminata got me hot and bothered. That flaking mahogony colored bark! Lots of bear poop, too.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181029/0d1577269dd87369f9c19bb35e5f5f83.jpg)
