Does anyone happen to know anything about fishing in or near (and how near) the Murphy, NC area? I have never been over that way but have a possible trip over there coming up next week and wanted to see what kind of opportunities might be there.

Thanks,
Mike

yeah there is lots of good water there , north is santeetlah and big snowbird  both are road accessable
west is the hiwassee
south is the taccoa
don't forget to go by the sav-a-lot to see the eric rudolph dumpster.  there is no decent fly shop in murphy  but 20 minites south in blueridge ga. is unicoi outfitters   a very good shop if i had one day i would hit big snowbird.  on the weekends it is crowded but you drive up stream to the dead end (called the junction)  and walk up just a short way and there is good water that rarely gets fished

Thanks for the info. Still not sure I'm going, but will file the information for this trip if so and the future if not.

Thanks,
Mike
